“working out the ennegram diagram...i understand it in its individual parts, but when I look at the diagram I am like trying to work out how the diagram ties them all in...I suspect I am being too analytical....”

It's likely that you're doing what NLP calls “chunking down”, but not chunking back up, or you have too much "distance" between your "chunk levels."

Take the game of Pong for example. If your “chunk level” were applied to Pong, you'd see the paddle, and things about the paddle (it's rectangular shape). At that same “chunk level” you could look at the ball, and see things about the “ball” (it's a circle). But, at this “chunk level” either only the paddle or ball exists at a time because you're at the “part level”.

If you were to chunk up just slightly, you would see the paddle and the ball at the same time and be able to see the how they interact, specifically that the ball bounces off the paddle. At this point you can see how the rectangular shape of the paddle gives it more “surface area” to hit the ball. This would be a chunk level of “some parts” which can be used as training wheels to help you get between “part level” and the next level.

If you were to chunk up even more, you'd see the entire playfield of Pong and be able to understand things on that level, like how hitting the ball past the other player's paddle results in a point being awarded to the score. This would be the “all parts” level where all the parts of the game itself exist in your mind but but nothing outside of the game itself.

To see it as a game, you have to chunk up to “all games”.

So anyway, it's important to chunk up and down to see how the parts of something interact and fit in the whole.

“plus the diagram is completely different to other diagrams I have encountered and therefore strongly suspect I am relying on wrong information to help me decipher it.”

Just a note, the version of the enneagram I'm currently studying is most likely a specific instance of the enneagram, sort of “an enneagram”, while the one you are studying exists at the level of “all enneagrams”. The two may be similar, but are probably different in significant ways as Pong is different from “game”.

“i am used to chakras, qlippoth, kabla and etc diagrams'

It might be helpful to chunk down from “all diagrams” to enneagram.

I'm just trying to get you to loosen up a bit.

About 42 -- it's the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything. Whenever a geek like me pulls a random number from the rectal neithervoid it's often 42 because it's an in-joke among geeks like me. :)

Reminds me of Margret Meads anthropology and how helped usher human thinking, logic and intelligence out of the dark ages..lol!!!

It's an interest or preoccupation with which I occasionally go overboard... time, energy, attention, money, etc. When I become so wrapped up in something that several of my other competing interests suffer or fall by the wayside, I call it an obsession.

I think I'm prone to obsessive behavior sometimes. Perhaps most people are. I don't know. It probably depends on the individual, hobby/interest, and whatever else is going on in their life.

I see. If you go overboard and it becomes all consuming then I'd say it qualifies as an obsession.

I'm fairly certain I can look back and find some obsessive behaviors. I think environmental factors play a key role in that. What do you think?

    "Arguing semantics again?"

It is obvious to the individual concerned who has done enough work what the difference is between them.

The focus should be after so much amount of work after so many years, why are you still going overboard and having trouble reigning yourself in?

If you can answer this honestly then you have found areas to work on.

The first deadline was 9/15 and the final is 9/30. I need time to throw this thing together. The more content I have, the better off the issue will be.

I'll be working on the issue starting 10/1 with a Halloween release date. So the more content I have to work with, the better off the issue with be. I can include some ads for projects such as the Playing Card kickstarter you added. Any others? Send them my way.
